Most Insurers will not provide travel insurance cover if the journey is not deemed as “essential” as stated on HM Foreign Office website. Those who want to travel for a celebration or to see their family may not satisfy the Foreign Office meaning of “essential” travel under the terms of their insurance policy and thus will not be covered.
M&N Insurance Service Limited are now offering both essential and non-essential travel through one of our providers, battleface.
battleface provides lean, flexible travel insurance and services that suit the needs of today’s travellers going to unconventional or challenging places. This includes destinations under government “Do Not Travel” or “Essential Only” advisories.
Annual cover is not yet available with this Insurer. However each trip can be as long as 365 days. Please note that Covid-19 cover is restricted to people up to the age of 59. They can provide travel cover for policyholders up to the age of 79, but cover for Covid-19 would be excluded.
Customizable benefits include baggage cover, cancellation, business cover, medical treatment and evacuation and repatriation of mortal remains. This product includes 24/7 Emergency Travel, Crisis Response and Medical and Assistance services.
As plans can change quickly, you can buy policies whilst already travelling. For more information or to start obtaining a quote please click here. To download their sample Travel Medical policy please click here.
battleface products are provided by Tangiers Insurance Services Limited, a UK insurance intermediary authorised and regulated by the FCA and Tangiers Insurance Services LLC, a US licensed insurance producer. The details provided on this webpage are for information only. Always read the description of cover contained within your policy to ensure it is suitable for your needs.
We can also arrange travel cover that provides COVID-19 cover for over 59s via our partnership with Insure4Holiday. These policies can include a wide range of covers for over 59s, including a number of COVID-specific cover options.
However please note that these policies will not provide cover should the Foreign Office changes its advice regarding a country of travel to “Do Not Travel” or to “Essential Only” if the planned travel is for non-essential purposes.
